My school is a Title I school and many of my students have below average literacy, vocabulary comprehension, and listening skills. As a result, my students require the usage of multiple instructional strategies to increase their articulation, vocabulary, and listening comprehension. Therefore, the materials will be used with my students in weekly small group speech sessions to increase their communication skills.
The materials will help to improve my students' articulation, vocabulary, and listening comprehension skills. My students' articulation and vocabulary comprehension will improve through naming nouns and actions within the storybooks and from sing along songs. In addition, my students' listening comprehension and reasoning skills will improve through answering questions and retelling information about the pictures and events in the storybooks.
