As a first year teacher, I found myself scrambling to build my classroom library and as it turns out my students read much faster than I can provide alone! They are eager for knowledge and new books! My kids read during school and I also allow them to take one book home a day to read to their parents. They love being able to share their new reading skills with their families. Books allow for the kids to feel like they are actively learning about the world around them and having books that challenge them just help them to learn to interpret the world even more!
