These items will be used for 4th graders to participate in room transformations to engage and enhance their learning. I attended a conference recently that discussed the benefits of using room transformations to elevate those topics that are not so fun to learn by changing the environment and way the material is presented.
I am always looking for fun ways to incorporate the rigor of our curriculum with things that make my students excited to come to my classroom and learn. By contributing to our project, you will be allowing my students to tackle many hard subjects in a fun and engaging way. The binder clips and sheets will be used to block out the light to make the neon colors really pop. The gravel will be used to students to dig out clues to solve with the texts they are reading. The glow sticks, highlighters, and finger lights will allow students to interact with reading materials in a new way in the dark environment.
