The use of interactive whiteboards are common in today's classrooms. It is an integral part of my teaching. The two problems are that I can only call on one student at a time to write on the board and I am confined to staying in the front of the class. With this project all that would change. With the use of an app called Jamboard, I would be able to add a twist to the traditional interactive whiteboard. Jamboard is an app that acts as a whiteboard and you can collaborate with students.
If this project is funded, my students and I will be able to collaborate together while projecting our work in real time.
No longer will I be confined to the front of the room as I teach. I can walk around and write on the iPad as it projects onto the board. Students will also be able to write on the Jamboard app and it will project what they write. With this freedom of movement I will be able to help more students around the classroom and provide them with better visuals. With students able to link up to the jamboard app, they would simultaneously write in the app as their work is presented. With this new tech tool in the classroom, I would be able to reach more students and their various needs.
