A set of binoculars will allow my students to find a new sense of love and appreciation for nature. This Spring, we will use these binoculars to go birding! Students will learn all about Minnesota birds including their songs, diets, behaviors, and beauty.
Students will put their knowledge to work in nature by going to Como Lake, Como Woodlands, and Trout Brook Nature Sanctuary to observe birds in their natural habitat. By observing birds with binoculars and identifying bird songs, students will fall in love with the beauty of the natural world around them. This love of nature automatically translates to our youth becoming thoughtful conservationists who will help keep our environment healthy for future generations.
