Last school year we were reading a story, and it was about a stolen iPAD. One of my students asked me what an iPAD was, when I explained, another one asked if it was just like a desktop computer. This is when I decided I needed to have an IPAD in the class and make it part of differentiated instruction.
This Apple iPAD will give my students the opportunity to learn how to implement technology since most of them are using laptops for the first time here in school (in America).
It will help them do research and create projects, collect information quickly and since the iPAD will be in the classroom it will always be at their disposal and they won’t have to wait for “computer day” to do research.
We have one very old printer for two classes that is not reliable, therefore we must be mindful of the other class and not monopolize the printer.
By having a colored printer in the classroom, the students will be able to print their projects whenever needed with the only worry of trying their best.
This is the age of technology, the more exposure the students have at their disposal, the better they will be prepared in the future.
