My students will benefit from productive ways to get the fidgeting out so they can focus on the lessons we are learning. The students in my inclusion class have a variety of needs that can be met through different sensory outputs. The fidgets, cushions, and bouncy bands give my students a productive and appropriate output for their extra energy. This helps to keep them on task and free from distractive behaviors that interrupt the learning. My goal is to set up my students for success in the classroom and during transitional times. Many times my students get fidgety and distracted by inappropriate supplies. This can lead to the destruction of school supplies. With bouncy bands and fidget cushions, my students' sensory needs can be met in a more positive way.
