My students have multiple disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, down syndrome and intellectual disabilities. Although their chronological ages range between 5-8, they and functioning and learning at the age of 2-4 year olds. They are happy and make me laugh everyday. My students have sensory input issues and the weighted vest and chewy necklace will give the input their bodies are craving. They manipulatives and other fine motor supplies will help them develop enough strength in their hands to be able to complete tasks such as writing their name, buttoning their clothes and all life skills. My students have a lot of sensory integration needs. Many of the items included in my project are dedicated to meeting their sensory needs to help them focus more so they can learn more efficiently. I hope to fund my project to supply many of the materials the school districts can't provide.
