My students use a lot of manipulatives when learning new skills. They do most of their work in a discrete trial format and also work on life skills and social skills. Much of what they do is matching and identifying colors, numbers, shapes, and letters. During social group they work on taking turns by playing a game. It is difficult to reach them through remote learning as many of them are working on attending to materials and people, and they do not yet have the skills to utilize a computer or tablet.
With these materials my students will be able to access the curriculum as it relates to their IEP goals.
