If we get this listening center and headphones in our classroom, the students will be able to have an amazing resource to listen a variety of literature everyday. My hope is to expose children to all genres of books and get them excited to learn to read on their own. Centers are a great way to focus in on individual needs. While one group is at our independent listening center, another group will have the opportunity to get one-on-one practice with guided reading books. This listening center will provide skills in listening, comprehension, technology, and independence (a very important skill in 1st grade!)

About my class
