I am a reading interventionist in a Title 1, high poverty school in South Carolina. I have been teaching here for 34 years. I work with students in Kindergarten through third grade. I read with them in my room and I work with them in their classrooms. I meet with small groups in my classroom to enhance their reading skills and set them up for reading success. I am working with them to help increase their fluency and reading comprehension. I also assist them with writing skills. We also do interactive phonics lessons daily.
