Our school is a public accelerated curriculum school, which means that we provide learning experiences above and beyond the regular classroom, but without extra funding. Because we are a magnet school, we pull students from all across the city.
More than half of the students participating in these advanced programs are from low income households, and all are from urban neighborhoods. We have 50% white, 20% black, 20% Asian and 10 % Hispanic.
Our goal is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to get a high quality advanced education regardless of race, economic position or geographic location.
