The resources I chose will benefit my students academically. For instance, the iPad will tremendously benefit my students who have language impairments and autism. In my four years of experience as a special education preschool teacher, I noticed that my students enjoy viewing books through an iPad. The lively colors and sounds make the reading experience more exciting for preschoolers with disabilities.
The Magna-Tiles encourage young children with special needs to work on their gross motor development while using a fun activity. Children can also be encouraged to label color and shapes to enhance their learning experience. In addition, my students enjoy working with Mold & Play Sand during outdoor play time. The sand seems to comfort my students who have sensory issues and encourages them to think outside the box in creating shapes and figures using small shovels and containers.
Overall, the supplies I am requesting will be utilized to encourage my students to have a fun and effective learning experience in a preschool setting.
