Students will be able to read weekly news stories and articles relating to the world around them. Students will be able to interact with their own copy of the text, and will be able to take their learning home with them at the end of the week to start their own library at home. Students will be able to engage with the stories to support their literacy development and help foster a love of reading. Students will be able to widen their understanding of the world around them and develop new interests through the weekly readers. My students are always looking for more books to read, so these weekly readers will keep them engaged and interested!
