My high-needs, urban students spend six hours a day in the same classroom AND CHAIRS! These children need opportunities to move around the room and to meet in different-sized groups for reteach instruction, small group work, and other class activities.
Flexible seating options will allow us to use our classroom space more fully and will give students opportunities to get up, move around, and sit in different arrangements for important learning activities. These learners need stools in order to sit at small group instruction tables. The stools offer a needed seating change to keep students alert and engaged, and the stools also give me the ability to fit more learners around the table. Students also need a rug for more seating options. A rug allows children to stretch their bodies out on the carpet to read or study, meet together in small groups for projects, or gather the entire class together for discussions and meetings.
Your generous donation to our project will improve learning by giving children seating choices throughout their day and allow for groups of different sizes to meet and learn together.
