Having a variety of books will expose my students to different people and different parts of the world. Student will broaden their background knowledge by reading more informational text. Students will also be more creative and imaginative by reading fictional literature.
Also, by the end of the year, my students will have to had read 80 books. My students have to read one book a week. They also have to go online to The Renaissance Learning website and take a test on each book. The students reading grades are also effected by how many books they had read. For example, if they have not read 20 books they cannot receive an A in reading.
