This year, our school has an opportunity to build a Video Technology Program. The students are excited about learning the ins and outs of making videos. Currently, our budget has allotted funds for camera equipment that allows students to create videos; however, we lack the technology to add distinct, clear audio. With the implementation of microphones into our program, student growth will raise to the next level. Their written and spoken communication skills will be developed and applied to real world situations. They will be able to practice interviews, and supplement videos with dialogue.
Our program is small, but it isn't evident based on the excitement of the students.
They are already planning how to expand the class and offer ongoing opportunities that will lead to jobs in industry. Technology is a growing field, and as the program grows, so will the opportunities for students to gain knowledge and experience that will prepare them to work in this growing professional technical career.
