Interactive, hands-on, laboratory experiences are the heart of every successful science course. My school district is making an investment in Chromebooks for our students and now I need a way to interface our existing supply of Vernier sensors and probes with this new technology. These LabQuest Minis will allow us to do this.
Using the Vernier sensors allows students to take multiple measurements with unparalleled precision and immediately display their results in an easy-to-interpret graphical form. Being able to integrate these sensors with students' individual Chromebooks will give them the ability to experience the labs more fully, recognize and visualize trends in their data more easily, and give them hands on experience with high-tech, precision, equipment, often for the first time. I believe that this will increase their engagement in class and inspire them to continue their science education even beyond my class.
