These tables will give all of my students, special needs and regular-ed, a good area to write and collaborate about tolerance. My students need space to have rich, in-depth discussions about texts. Almost all the texts we use in our classroom help foster the need for tolerance and acceptance. Having these tables in our classroom will help foster a need for tolerance because our special needs students will be able to sit side by side our regular-ed students as we discuss and write about rich, meaningful texts. These tables will continue to help us foster a great classroom community and push our students to the next level.
