I would like to get some different books that will help my students understand different cultures from around the world. My students are all from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. I think that helping my students understand that we live in a big world with tons of different cultures and communities will help them try to step out of their box and learn about each other. I also would love to have an extra computer in our classroom so that my students use it for research during center time during our stories what talk about cultural differences so that my students can explore information about those regions and the people who live there. One of the main tools that we have to help us discover and learn about different cultures around the world is technology. By showing my students that they piece of this world that is extremely diverse will help to light the spark of tolerance for years to come.
