I am a middle school math teacher seeking resources for our classroom to address common core standards. My school has inconsistent internet access, so these materials will allow my students to demonstrate their understanding of the standards. Students also have limited supplies, so materials such as individual dry erase boards and markers will allow the students to actively participate and show me what they know and what they need additional support in. It will also serve as a way to "go green" and not have to make copies for everyone- seeing has I have 190 students. My goal is that students are involved in their learning and become more motivated while they are transitioning to being back in person while also preparing for high school.
Solve real-life and mathematical problems using numerical and algebraic expressions and equations.
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.7.EE.B.3
Solve multi-step real-life and mathematical problems posed with positive and negative rational numbers in any form (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals), using tools strategically. Apply properties of operations to calculate with numbers in any form; convert between forms as appropriate; and assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies.
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.7.NS.A.3
Solve real-world and mathematical problems involving the four operations with rational numbers.1
