My students love to read and be read to! This project will provide my students with interesting books to read independently as well as books to listen to the whole group.
I am a first-year teacher looking to bulk up my classroom library with more up to date books. My students have personal book buckets and get to "check out" books from my class library. Providing my students with a larger variety of books will allow them to find books that interested them and will encourage more reading.
Because my students come from low-income homes, many of them do not have access to a large variety of literature outside of my classroom.
