Because I teach at a school that has a high poverty level, computers are not found in many of my students' homes. For this reason, students need to be immersed in technology at school. Often times the level of teaching is either too high or too low for some of the students in a classroom. Our school has access to many programs that can be utilized to enhance the classroom lesson on a more individualized basis. This ensures that students are learning and progressing at a level that is appropriate for them. By receiving instruction at a lower level, students are often able to advance to the same level as their peers through this individualized instruction.
