Mesa Linds Middle school students come from an area in Adelanto California (near Adelanto prison) where parents are stressed to keep them feed and in some cases even get them to school everyday. I am teaching 6th AVID for the and am pleasantly surprised to see how dedicated these young minds are at eventually being a college student. Some will be the very first college student in their family. During our 6 class periods a day, I also teach language arts, language support, and history.
