The pandemic has taken its toll on education! This school year has had its own unique challenges, but having students back in the classroom where teachers can be most effective is one giant step forward. With that, there are many gaps to fill, and the items I am requesting will each help my students in a different way.
I believe that reading is the key to learning! After a year off from in person learning, my overarching goal this year has been to create a classroom where reading and talking about books is a part of our classroom culture. I want to have a designated book bin that students can fill with their own good fit books, and that will encourage them to read more! With a tiny classroom and many bodies, it's vital to use every available space. I would love to have some wobble seats to give them a place on the carpet where they can get lost in their books.
Since I am a fairly new teacher, I have a long list of supplies that would make my teaching more effective. Unfortunately those items have remained on my list due to Covid. Hands-on math tools are a must to help any child be successful, and there are several in this project that will do the trick. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to finally get those items checked off! Each and every item will assist my kids in achieving academic success!
