My first graders are curious and love hands-on activities. I have noticed on days that we do science, my students always comment that, "Today is the best day of my life." Our class would love some fun science books, presentations, and hands-on activities that will help us get even more excited about the science that can be found in the world around us. The lower-grades in our school do not currently have an adopted curriculum from which to teach. Having more materials available would help me, as the teacher, to spark the scientist in each of my students and help them develop more appreciation for the world around them.
