My students are inquisitive learners. They come to school everyday and want to learn. My students love to work in small groups and enjoy hands-on projects. My school is in a low income neighborhood and considered a Title I school. As a ESL teacher, I often run into issues with finding materials that will allow students to use their imagination to learn new concepts about cultures and countries, especially when many of them have been in America less than one year. Our school is very limited when it comes to distributing resources. My students need one projector to display things on the board. In addition we need one printer to print researched items. The donations for this project will give my students a great start for the beginning of the school year.
Having these supplies in my classroom will allow my students to learn the necessary skills like writing, researching and developing presentations in English. These skills can be directly transferable to further their education.
