On two or three days a week. the students try a differentiated lesson on creating a four- six line rhyme that relates to algebra. The recording device will allow them to work in pairs or small groups presenting the answer to problems along with the rhymes.
The usb flash drive will also allow them to save work that can be edited or updated. It is such a pleasure to see how the young students experience success when creating a rhyme for their math problems.
When the students work out the problems on the smart board, it helps them to develop critical thinking skills and learn more than one way to solve a problem. students will keep their Friday tests and best work in binders to share with parents and visitors.
Our school prides itself in creating quality instructional strategies. As a result, we see a rise in academic achievement each year. Our goal is to dispel the myth that math is "too hard" or "no fun." These supplies will help create a mindset of "critical thinking" among students.
