My project is to provide my forty fourth grade students with flexible seating options in order to create a more student centered classroom where comfort is key to staying focused on the tasks at hand. Yoga mats also provide a work area for students to comfortably collaborate and create. In addition to providing flexible seating option, a yoga mat can provide and a place for students to move and stretch during brain breaks. Movement is so important to students Students need to move, stretch & be comfortable in order to work to their potential. My students are capable of amazing things!
