STEM careers are growing, and all students need to be prepared to choose one. This is the first year of STEM education at the school. One of the projects I have planned is teaching students to look for a problem, imagine and design a solution and then create a prototype. To make sure that my students have access to relevant and high quality tools, I have chosen 3D printing to combine computer coding into a tangible project that they can take home. Imagine their pride when these 4th and 5th grade students see themselves as 3D designers. Having a variety of filament to choose from will help them personalize their creations.
