We could really use an air purifier for our classroom! We can not open windows for fresh air, so our air is recirculated all day. I am immunocompromised and currently in chemotherapy, and I have two immunocompromised students this year as well. The amount of illness currently going around is alarming. I am hoping this will clean our air, so that less illness is being spread, fewer students will be out sick, and I can continue to teach!
We would love to have the tools for more hands on lessons! These types of lessons are always so engaging and fun, while connecting our curriculum to "real life" applications. Some examples of how these items would aid in doing so are: the heat lamp and grow light to grow plants in terrariums creating ecosystems for observation. The gps device would allow us to get outside for math lessons using coordinates, decimals, and mapping skills. The projector will benefit our class in many ways. We will be able to use it at the Clear Creek Camp that we go on each year to view astronomy videos, movies, and slide shows. We will also use it in class for movie/ book compare and contrast lessons. All of these things would really help to make school more fun and engaging for my students!
