The nets I am requesting will be used for several different units throughout the school year. In the past we have had to "make due" and improvise by using jump ropes to simulate a net. Ropes are not only on the ground but the entire activity is changed due to the lack of a realistic net.
The nets I am requesting will help my low-income students experience the units and activities exactly how other students, in more affluent neighborhoods, experience the units.
My students will have a better understanding of the activities and learn strategies quicker with nets that are in the air. The best part about our PE nets will be that the same students will benefit from them year after year!
