We are a science and medicine small school housed in a larger building that also houses two other small schools. Our school is an inner city high school grades 9-12. They are hard working kids who are limited only by the resources and experiences we offer them. My students are wonderful and work hard every day with 97+% percent attendance and ninth ranking high school in the state it would be easy to miss the reality that a number of our students have less than acceptable home lives. We have homeless children, foster kids and students who can not afford lunch let alone the experiences that the students, that they out compete every year on state exams, take for granted.
