Students will use these seats when reading independently or when reading as a whole class. We will be able to sit in a circle and read together. When we read novels such as The Giver and The Outsiders, students will be able to share the experience with their peers and participate in discussions around the novels. Additionally, I plan using clipboards for Writers' Workshop and other classroom assignments. Students will be able to draft, revise and edit on the floor in a more comfortable position. Students sit in desks all day: providing alternative seating allows them to be more comfortable and engage more in learning!

About my class
