I am requesting multi-level books because this is my students first year learning how to read English. Multi-level libraries have a high impact on students because they start at a level and move forward from there. The student is assessed every 3-5 weeks to monitor progress. This boosts their self-esteem while making them more proactive in their learning. Choosing picture books with rich print and artistic pictures enhances concepts that would be difficult for them to attain with chapter books. Reading books by the same author also helps the student to conceptualize that author's style, thus helping them to adapt and modify their own style of thinking or writing. Initially I had 1,500 books to help them, but HARVEY TOOK ALL THAT AWAY.
