The iPad and camera will help students achieve success who may otherwise be without. Attending a Title 1 school, many students are not afforded the luxury of technology in today's society. The iPad will allow my students the ability to have modern, hands on technology to play games and create technological projects!
Research has shown that students who are involved in the learning process retain the information far longer than students who are passive or who do not contribute to the lessons. Technology is far too important and ever changing and the students will benefit tremendously from this generous project.
Science instruction is often overlooked or underrated. The tubs on the science units will allow opportunity for exploration and learning at an early age. With the big push in STEM learning; it is imperative that science interest be piqued as early as possible both inside and outside of the classroom.
The Reading Journal will give the students a chance to develop their reading and writing skills to become inquisitive lifelong learners. I am a firm believer that people who are good readers are also good writers.
