After introducing colors, nationalities, body parts, emotions and physical traits, my students will play Guess Who and engage in basic Spanish conversations as they describe the game characters to their partner. Being new to the language and by playing this game, students are more apt to practice their Spanish speaking skills as they find more comfort in playing rather than speaking in front of a group at this level.
Students will use their scaffold, Spanish vocabulary to describe the Guess Who characters while increasing their comprehension through speaking, reading, and listening. By playing this game, students will also learn the masculine/feminine and singular/plural forms of adjectives.
Students will play in partners of two to maximize their hands-on experience and increase their vocabulary while verbalizing their knowledge of Spanish in the context of the game.
