If our project is fully funded, we will be able to encourage play and interaction between students at 10 different grade levels. It's time to use our outdoor space to encourage play, reinvigorate friendships and interpersonal skills. The pandemic has caused us to be isolated, and it is my hope that this equipment will foster healthy movement and interactions. Grade levels from pre-k to 8th will receive sets of playground equipment (balls, cones, jump ropes and hula hoops) for gross motor development and play. Students will work together to play games and be responsible for storing equipment. Encouraging healthy kids, building relationships and cultivating responsibility are hallmarks of our school. Students who have opportunities for active play are more engaged in the classroom and more alert. Healthy minds and bodies are essential for learning.
