These books will speak to students of all cultural and socioeconomic background. We have so many students that should be reading more and score higher on state testing, yet they lack the passion for reading. Hopefully my book clubs will inspire these targeted students to read and have discussions about the books they are reading, taking them to a new level or learning!
Books like "Ghost" and "The First Rule of Punk" are going to inspire students in the way that only a good book can do! I am hopeful that students mature and have real life conversations with one another about the problems students face these days.
