Coming from a low income district does not provide for a lot of materials for our students. We have limited resources. Often, the teachers find themselves reaching into our own pockets so that students can have a true experience in their learning. When it comes to our Science curriculum, we are truly lacking in supplies. STEM materials would be a fantastic way to introduce science concepts in my classroom!
Magna-Tiles are a great tool to engage young learners into being creative and risk takers! I will use these tools to not only teach shapes, but to encourage team work and discussion. It would be a way of boosting their capacity to being able to thinking outside of the box and playing at the same time!
