ABACUS MATH
My students have begun their year with one teacher, have survived Hurricane Irma, and will now be receiving a new teacher, (me).
Their classroom-to-be is being used as a community shelter at this very moment.
They have nothing in the room but a handmade bulletin board; no supplies, nothing, because school has already begun, and now it will begin again.
These students need math skills at the conceptual level, which I will give them.
I am a Cooperative Learning Specialist, and will use three things to teach math; Abacus, Cooperative Learning, and Conceptual Math Lesson Design.
