The orchestra bells play a vital role in many of the pieces our band performs, their ethereal sound adds an almost dreamlike quality to our music. A good set of orchestra bells, bells that ring pure and true, can give life to the most exciting march, and add spirit to the most haunting of ballads. Our current bell set is very old (almost 40 years, as old as our school!), and they are starting to show some wear and tear. Unfortunately, our school is in a very economically depressed part of our city, and we just aren't able to afford to buy a new set of orchestra bells on our own. We are asking you to help us, so that our music continues to sparkle and shine with the clean, crisp sound of the bells! This instrument will help us to continue a tradition of superior performances, and will allow future geneartions of students to enjoy the pleasure and freedom of learning to be a member of our school band! Let freedom ring, and let the band play on!
