I am trying to create a sensory classroom with a durable swing and multi-sensory furniture designed to help kids with autism and special needs.
I want them to have a space that is both safe and fun that allows them to calm their bodies and get ready to do their best work. I believe that this equipment will allow our classroom to be therapeutic to our students and encourage their readiness to learn.
Students will have access to flexible seating such as wobbly stools, yoga balls, and seat cushions. They will also have sensory toys and tools to help them calm down and relax when overwhelmed or upset.
