I am sponsoring a Rocketry club that will offer third-fifth grade students the opportunity to explore the science of rocketry. In addition to learning how rockets are made and launched, they will build and launch their very own rocket! In order to provide this incredible opportunity, they will need their own rocket kits and some of the launching materials replenished. In order to safely launch the rockets, we will need to replenish recovery wadding, engines, igniters, and igniter plugs. Then, of course, paint to be able to see them blast beautifully into the air! Your generous donation will provide our students with an educational, yet fascinating, opportunity that many of them would never have otherwise. We are a Title 1 school, with many students who are unable to afford costly summer camps that typically offer a rocketry experience. In addition to learning the how and why of rocketry, our students are able to practice following intricate directions in order to build and launch their very own rocket!
