With an ever-growing need for mathematical understanding, the importance of basic mathematical comprehension is increasing! Technology and mathematical understanding go hand in hand! The IPad's will have special apps on them that foster creative problem solving skills, spatial relational skills, and basic math literacy skills, such as counting and one to one correspondence. Having IPad's with math games and apps will help my students use technology to help solve problems and reinforce skills learned. Mathematical fluency has been selected as a school-wide goal for the year. Through the usage of IPads with special apps that are geared towards mathematical fluency , our school-wide goal of mastering basic math skills will be obtainable.
