Scholastic News is a great resource for students to learn more about the world and make meaningful connections. Students are able to use what they learn and answer questions that are aligned with our curriculum. Scholastic News is offered in Spanish and in English and the school I work in is a dual language school. Scholastic News is great because some of my students are stronger in Spanish than in English. With Scholastic News, my students will be more engaged and their reading will become more rigorous. Students will use Scholastic News to improve upon their ability to write reading responses. This resource will allow my students gain more knowledge as readers and as writers. The variety of articles and issues will help peak the interest of all of my students.
