This year, before schools were closed, my students made tremendous growth in the area of literacy. They had learned sight words, began reading sight word poems, learned word families, and how to write using their sigh words and word families. I have a wide range of grade levels and academic levels in my class. With these resources I can utilize them in the planing of individualized instruction. My students deserve that and they can achieve that!
I will use these resources in lessons focusing on sight word recognition and building sentences. They enjoy verbally sharing experiences so I will work with them to use sight words in sentences and then work on writing down their thoughts. I will also use these resources to help them build phonics skills on lessons like word families. This will be incorporated with visuals to help teach letter sounds and rhyming. I will also use some of the resources to help build on their socialization and communication skills. We will do small social circle activities where we will share feelings and build each other up with positive remarks.
