Having a set of iPads for small groups will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. I have a handful of students whose first language is not English and the amount of English they do know is very limited. They are currently receiving 45 minutes a day of English as a Second Language (ESOL) instruction from a different teacher, but it is not enough. These kids are so eager to read, write, and speak English but it is difficult. With the help of these iPads they will be given the opportunity to practice learning the language through a variety of apps. These iPads will not only make them successful as English learners but also as life long learners in all areas that are being taught.
