In order to support the academic development and social/emotional growth of my young students, I strive to give my students many opportunities for hands-on exploration and imaginative play within our school day.
I am requesting Aeromax My First Gear Set, Jumbo Animal Play Sets jumbo, Building Bocks, and Minifigures Comunity People for my students to use in class. These supplies will give my students opportunities to explore STEM activities while also integrating dramatic and imaginative play about the world around them.
During center time, students will engage in activities with each other that will allow them to use their imagination, as well as building their fine motor skills through building and imaginative play. Magnet tiles and bricks will allow my students to work together to create and build, while dress-up clothes and community characters will engage them in dramatic play that supports their development and gives them the confidence that they are going to grow up and have an important role in the world. Playing with the different types of animals supports their imaginative play and allows my students, many of whom have never left Baltimore City, an opportunity to experience things that exist in different habitats outside of where they live.
