My students are all emerging readers who enjoy books, but aren't yet able to read independently on their own. Additional materials to our listening center will provide them with the opportunity to engage with grade level, age appropriate text independently. This project will also provide my students with the opportunity to work on their organizational skills with use of the storage bins.
The use of audio books will allow for my students to think critically about the content of the book and use their imagination. They'll be able to make connections to what it means to be a reader while increasing their overall love and enjoyment of written text.
